Origin: South America

Optimal living conditions: 24 - 28 °C temperature

                                               5.0 - 7 pH

                                               60 l+ sized aquarium.

Adult fish size: 5 - 8 cm

Diet: Feed high quality pellets and frozen foods. Also add live foods such as brine shrimp to enrich their diet.

Tankmates: Tetras, pencilfish, hatchetfish, and other species that swim in the middle to top half of the aquarium do well. Keeping multiple males is not suitable as fights will definitely occur. Keeping in pairs also tends to work best.
