Adult fish size: 20 - 30 cm

Diet: Feed a varied diet of high-quality pellets, live or frozen foods such as fish, shrimp, earthworms, and other meaty items. Channa bangkanensis are carnivorous and require a protein-rich diet. They may also hunt smaller fish if kept in a tank with such species.

Tankmates: Best kept alone or with larger, robust fish that can tolerate the Snakehead’s predatory nature. Avoid keeping with very small or slow-moving fish, as Channa bangkanensis may attempt to hunt them. It's also best to provide plenty of hiding spots and territory for this species, as they can be territorial.
