Diet: Feed a varied diet of high-quality flakes, micro pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. Desmopuntius rhomboocellatus are omnivores and will also graze on algae and small plant matter in the aquarium.

Tankmates: Peaceful species such as tetras, rasboras, and small catfish. They do well in schools, so it's best to keep them in groups of 6 or more. They are shy and can be stressed by larger or more aggressive fish, so avoid housing them with such species.
