Diet: Hemigrammus pulcher are omnivores and thrive on a varied diet that includes high-quality flake food, small pellets, and live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. They will also enjoy plant-based foods such as spirulina or blanched vegetables like zucchini.
Tankmates: Peaceful species such as other tetras, rasboras, small barbs, and other community fish. These are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 6 or more to feel secure and reduce stress. Avoid housing them with aggressive fish or larger predatory species.
