They can also be offered plant-based foods like spirulina and blanched vegetables (e.g., zucchini, spinach). A balanced diet promotes healthy growth and vibrant coloration.

Tankmates: Guppies are peaceful, community fish and do well with a variety of other non-aggressive species such as tetras, mollies, and Corydoras catfish. They can be kept with other small fish and make great tankmates for beginner aquarists. However, avoid keeping them with larger, predatory fish that might nip at them. Guppies are best kept in groups, as they are social and thrive in a school. Males should be kept in numbers to reduce stress from aggression or excessive mating behavior.
