Diet: L081 Baryancistrus cf. xanthellus is primarily an omnivore, feeding on a mix of plant and animal matter in the wild. They also enjoy live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. A well-balanced diet helps maintain their vibrant coloration and overall health. They are known for their love of algae and will help control algae in your tank, though they should not be relied on as the sole method of algae control.

Tankmates: These peaceful plecos do well in community tanks with other non-aggressive species. They can be kept with peaceful fish like tetras, rasboras, and small catfish, and they are often kept with other bottom dwellers. Avoid keeping them with large, aggressive fish that might harass or outcompete them.
