Diet: The L128 Blue Phantom Pleco is primarily an omnivore. In the aquarium, it enjoys a varied diet of sinking pellets, algae wafers, and fresh vegetables such as zucchini, spinach, and cucumber. It will also accept high-quality frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. Though they do graze on algae, they should not be solely relied on for algae control and should be supplemented with a balanced diet to maintain their health and vibrant color.

Tankmates: Blue Phantom Plecos are peaceful and non-aggressive, making them a good addition to a community tank with other peaceful species. They do well with small to medium-sized fish such as tetras, rasboras, and peaceful bottom dwellers like Corydoras and other plecos. Avoid keeping them with aggressive or overly large fish that might outcompete them for food. Since they are nocturnal, they prefer a tank with plenty of hiding spots such as caves, driftwood, and rocks where they can retreat to during the day.
