Tankmates: Venustus Cichlids are large, semi-aggressive fish, and while they are generally peaceful, they can become territorial, especially during breeding. They are best kept with other robust and semi-aggressive African cichlids from Lake Tanganyika or Lake Malawi, such as Julidochromis, Cyprichromis, or Lamprologus species. It is important to provide a tank with plenty of rocky structures and hiding spots to allow them to establish territories.
