Origin: South America, widely distributed in the Amazon Basin.

Optimal living conditions:

• Temperature: 24 - 28 °C
• pH: 6.0 - 7.5
• Aquarium size: 200 liters+ (tall tanks preferred to accommodate their height)

Adult fish size: 10 - 15 cm in body length; up to 20 cm in height, including fins.

Diet: Omnivore. Feed a varied diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, frozen foods (bloodworms, brine shrimp), and live foods. Supplement with vegetable-based foods occasionally.

Tankmates: Generally peaceful, but may show mild aggression during breeding. Suitable tankmates include tetras, rasboras, Corydoras, and other peaceful community fish. Avoid small species that can be seen as food (e.g., neon tetras) and fin-nipping fish.

Note: The Angelfish is a popular and iconic aquarium species known for its graceful, triangular shape and flowing fins.
