Diet: Omnivorous. Synodontis polli are opportunistic feeders and thrive on a varied diet. Offer sinking pellets, frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. They will also consume algae and detritus in the tank. A mix of plant matter (blanched vegetables) and protein-rich foods will ensure they remain healthy and active.

Tankmates: Synodontis polli are peaceful catfish that get along well with other peaceful species. They are suitable for community tanks with medium to large peaceful fish, such as cichlids, tetras, and barbs. However, avoid aggressive fish that may bully or outcompete them for food. As bottom dwellers, they are best kept with other species that occupy different parts of the aquarium. Provide plenty of hiding spaces and caves for them to feel secure.

Note: Synodontis polli is a stunning catfish known for its white or pale body coloration with dark markings and distinctive barbels. They have a peaceful disposition, making them ideal for a community setup, but they prefer to stay in the lower regions of the tank, where they can sift through the substrate for food. They are quite hardy but require stable water conditions, particularly when it comes to water temperature and pH.
