Diet: Feed a varied diet of high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, or daphnia. Banded Gouramis are omnivores and will also consume plant matter and algae.

Tankmates: Peaceful species such as tetras, rasboras, and small catfish. Banded Gouramis are generally peaceful but can become territorial during breeding, especially males. They are best kept with other non-aggressive species. They do well in pairs or small groups.
