Adult fish size: 10 - 12 cm

Diet: Feed a varied diet of high-quality pellets, flakes, and occasional live or frozen foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia. Cryptoheros sajica are omnivores, and they will also graze on algae and plant matter.

Tankmates: Sajica cichlids are semi-aggressive and can be territorial, especially during breeding. It’s best to house them with other species that are similarly sized and moderately aggressive. Suitable tankmates include other Central American cichlids, barbs, and larger peaceful species. Keeping them in pairs is ideal, but care should be taken to avoid conflicts in smaller tanks.
