Origin: Southeast Asia (found in Myanmar, particularly in slow-moving streams and rice paddies in the southeastern regions)

Diet: Feed a varied diet of high-quality flakes, micro pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. Celestial Pearl Danios are omnivores and will also graze on algae and small plant matter in the aquarium.
Tankmates: Peaceful species such as small tetras, rasboras, and other non-aggressive fish. Danio margaritatus is a schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 6 or more. They are shy and benefit from the presence of others, so avoid keeping them with aggressive or much larger fish that may stress them.
