7.0 - 8.0 pH
150 l+ sized aquarium
Adult fish size: 12 - 15 cm
Diet: Garra rufa are primarily herbivorous but will also consume small invertebrates. They should be fed a varied diet of high-quality algae wafers, pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, or bloodworms. They are also known for grazing on biofilm and algae in the aquarium.
Tankmates: Peaceful species such as tetras, rasboras, barbs, and other medium-sized community fish. Garra rufa are social and should be kept in groups of 4 or more.
