Diet: Hemigrammus rhodostomus are omnivores and will thrive on a varied diet of high-quality flakes, small pellets, and live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. They also enjoy plant-based foods like spirulina or blanched vegetables such as zucchini and spinach.
Tankmates: Peaceful species like other tetras, rasboras, danios, and small barbs. They are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 6 or more to feel secure and reduce stress. Avoid housing them with aggressive species or large fish that might see them as prey.
Note: Known for their striking red coloration on the head and the nose, Reddot Tetras are an attractive and peaceful addition to community aquariums. They prefer well-planted environments with plenty of swimming space and hiding spots. These active swimmers will thrive in a group where they feel secure.
