Diet: Platies are omnivores and will happily accept a variety of foods. A varied diet is important for keeping them healthy, with a mix of protein and plant-based foods to promote vibrant color and overall well-being.

Tankmates: Platies are peaceful and sociable fish, making them ideal for community tanks. They do well with other small, non-aggressive species such as tetras, guppies, mollies, and Corydoras. Avoid keeping them with aggressive fish or very large species that may see them as prey. They thrive in schools of 5 or more individuals, and keeping males and females together will often result in the birth of live young. Since they are livebearers, it’s a good idea to have plenty of plants or decorations to provide cover for the fry.
