Diet: Platies are omnivores and will happily accept a variety of foods. Tankmates: Platies are peaceful and sociable fish, making them ideal for community tanks. They do well with other small, non-aggressive species such as tetras, guppies, mollies, and Corydoras. Avoid keeping them with aggressive fish or very large species that may see them as prey. They thrive in schools of 5 or more individuals, and keeping males and females together will often result in the birth of live young.
