Common name: Harlequin Rasbora
Origin: Southeast Asia, specifically found in Malaysia, Thailand, and parts of Sumatra.
Optimal living conditions:
- Temperature: 24 - 28 °C

- Aquarium size: 60 liters+ (well-planted tank with plenty of swimming space)
Adult fish size: 4 - 5 cm
Diet: Omnivore. Feed a varied diet that includes high-quality flake food, micro pellets, and live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. They will also graze on algae and plant matter in the tank.
Tankmates: Peaceful and social. Rasbora espei does well in schools of 6 or more. They are best kept with other small, peaceful species such as tetras, dwarf gouramis, small catfish, and other rasboras. Avoid keeping them with large or aggressive fish that may intimidate them.
