SunSun EW as a filter:
Filters from the EW series by SunSun are excellent as the main external filter for aquariums from 30 to 87 liters. The filter features a large capacity (1.6 liters), which positively affects water quality. The external placement of the pump improves water circulation and saves space inside the filter. The whole unit is extremely compact and handy, posing no difficulties for even beginner aquarists.

Why is it transparent?
The transparent housing of the filter allows the user to continuously monitor the internal condition of the device and the cleanliness of the filter media. Every aquarist will appreciate this impressive advantage, as it eliminates the need to open the filter for maintenance or to check the level of contamination of the cartridges.

What filter media does it have?
The EW filter is standardly equipped with sponges in three grades responsible for filtering solid particles and for the development of the bacterial flora responsible for breaking down harmful compounds in the aquatic environment. Additionally, it has a biological filtration medium in the form of bioballs.

Material Class of EW:
The construction uses top-quality materials. The body, cover, and other plastic elements are made of ABS plastic, which is an amorphous material with significant density. It exhibits high resistance to cracking and mechanical damage. The seals are made of rubber with an appropriate number of polyolefin chain connections, which ensure proper flexibility and durability. The materials and original casting shapes guarantee the reliability of the filter for which it was designed. Manufacturers - "imitators" of filters with the same construction, of which there are many on the market, may envy the execution, quality, and class of the product from the SunSun brand.

Filter housing closing system:
The effectiveness of the sealing is complemented by an appropriate closing system. The system is based on the operation of four clamps that work on the principle of a lever and latch, exerting significant pressure on the filter cover, thereby ensuring the sealing of the closure.

EW filter valves:
The filter is equipped with large hose connections with valves. The valves allow for closing the water circulation, and the valve connection system to the filter housing allows for disconnecting the valves along with the filled hoses from the pre-filter, enabling maintenance work.

Motor and impeller:
The pump operates silently, providing a high level of performance. The pump is based on a metal impeller, allowing operation in seawater. The motor is characterized by high performance and excellent energy efficiency.

Inlet / outlet and hoses:
The set includes all the necessary components for connecting the filter hydraulics. It includes a hose, an inlet, and a double water outlet. The inlet has a mesh guard to prevent fish, shrimp, plants, and other large elements from entering the filter. The water outlet can be modified freely due to the large number of tubes and fittings. The outlet can be done using a shower head that perfectly aerates the water or through an outlet nozzle placed on a Loc-Line ball joint.
