The filter SunSun HW-303A is made from top-class materials. The cover, body, and other components are made of ABS - an amorphous plastic with high density. It is characterized by high resistance to mechanical damage and cracking. The seals are made from rubber with an optimal number of polyolefin chain connections, ensuring durability and flexibility.

Sealing only in the original HW-303A filter

The double locking system ensures effective sealing. The system is based on two pairs of clamps that have different closing mechanisms. One pair works on the lever principle, guaranteeing sealing through pressure while also facilitating the opening of the filter cover. The second pair of clamps, on the other hand, ensures the durability of the closure through a snap action, preventing leaks even when lifting a full filter.

The HW-303A filter features a special aqua-stop system that blocks water flow from the filter to the hoses, allowing them to be disconnected from the cover. This system is essential for carrying out any maintenance work in the aquarium.

Quiet and efficient HW-303A

The pump operates with high efficiency, ensuring silent operation. Its operation is based on a ceramic rotor, which allows it to work even in saltwater. Additionally, it is enclosed in a large, sealed filter cover that helps to muffle sounds and vibrations.

Water inlet and outlet

The tube with a protective basket draws water as close to the bottom as possible. The length of this tube can be modified with additional segments. The inlet has a mesh that prevents the entry of animals, plants, and other large objects into the filter.

The water outlet can also be adjusted freely thanks to a large number of fittings and tubes. Modifications are facilitated by a rain bar, which effectively aerates the water, replacing additional aeration devices.

The HW-303A filter originally comes equipped with several types of filtration media:

• bioceramics and bioballs are responsible for biological filtration, providing a habitat for bacteria that reduce levels of NH4, NH3, and NO2 in the aquarium,

• activated carbon is responsible for chemical filtration, effectively binding metals and their compounds, humic substances, pesticides, and metabolic byproducts,

• the sponge is responsible for mechanical filtration.

The media baskets can accommodate any filtration insert.
