What is the surface filter used for?
The specially designed filter draws water from the water surface. This intake cleans and maintains a clear water surface, where impurities occur. The most common impurities include remnants of plant food or other floating elements. However, the most dangerous is certainly the protein film. This is a colored layer of fat and protein floating on the water's surface. It negatively impacts photosynthesis and water parameters and can lead to algae growth and even fish death.

Why is the JY-03 skimmer better than other designs?
The filter has a significantly larger cup for filtered impurities. Additionally, it has a much larger sponge. These advantages greatly reduce the need for filter cleaning and improve its operation.
