Origin: Native to the Amazon River Basin in South America, particularly found in Brazil and surrounding areas in slow-moving streams and tributaries.

Diet: Harlequin Tetras are omnivorous and should be fed a varied diet, including high-quality flake or pellet food, live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms. Providing plant matter such as spinach or algae wafers is also beneficial for their health.

Tankmates: They are peaceful and do well in community tanks with other small, non-aggressive species. Suitable tankmates include other tetras, rasboras, small barbs, and peaceful gouramis. Avoid keeping them with large or aggressive fish, as they may become stressed or bullied.
